Nine independent coffee roasters across the Valley have joined forces for the first-ever Valley Coffee Trail, a passport-style promotion encouraging customers to visit shops across multiple neighborhoods for stamps and rewards.
Participating shop owners say the idea grew out of an informal group chat among roasters who realized they were competing for the same customer base rather than growing it together.
“A rising tide and all that,” said trail co-organizer Diego Salcido, who owns a shop near the Melrose District. Coffee trail passports are available at any participating location through the end of summer.
