The city’s oldest community theater kicked off its summer season this week with a sold-out premiere, the fastest a production has sold out in the venue’s history.
The two-week run sold out within 48 hours of tickets going on sale, prompting the theater to add two additional matinee performances to meet demand.
“We genuinely did not expect this,” said artistic director Renee Popovich. The theater’s full summer lineup, including three more productions, runs through August.
